For JioStar’s TV Distribution Head Piyush Goyal, an industry award has become a moment to pause, look back and thank the people who made the journey possible.

Goyal in a LinkedIn post yesterday evening said he was “still feeling speechless, humbled and deeply emotional” after receiving the JioStar Moonshot & Light Keeper Award for the Linear TV Distribution business along with his team, describing it as “perhaps the best recognition of my professional life.”

The recognition comes after a journey that Goyal dates from November 14, 2024 to August 20, 2026 — a period during which, he said, one belief remained constant: “we will surely succeed.”

“And today, here we are,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post that was accompanied with several celebratory images. For Goyal, however, the award belongs as much to the team as to the individual.

He credited colleagues for “thinking differently, challenging conventions and taking bold bets” while working towards what he described as the future of TV distribution — moving “from one screen, one pipe to any screen, any pipe.”

The post also turned personal as Goyal thanked the wider team, colleagues across the floor and, most importantly, the families who supported them through the journey.

“I am so, so thankful to each one of you for making this day possible,” he said, adding a heart emoji to the message.

And despite the emotion of the moment, Goyal made clear that the award is not being treated as an endpoint.

“This is not the finish line. It is another beginning,” he quipped cheerily, signing off with a rocket emoji and tagging colleagues and bosses like JioStar Entertainment CEO Kevin Vaz, JiOStar Digital CEO Ishan Chatterjee, Rishi Gaind and Prateek Garg.
