Veteran singer Kumar Sanu will share memories of his musical collaborations with composer Anu Malik in an upcoming episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’.
According to a SET press release, the episode, themed ‘Great Grand Tashan’, will feature Malik and Sanu as guests. Contestants Ritesh and Prateek will also perform as part of the ‘India Wala Dance’ theme.
During the episode, Sanu praised Malik for his ability to create songs and musical ideas instantly, recalling their work together during the 1990s.
Sanu said Malik could quickly come up with different versions of a song if a producer did not like the original. He praised the composer’s spontaneity and singing ability, saying it was difficult not to like a song after hearing Malik perform it in several different ways.
Host Haarsh Limbachiyaa then invites Sanu to perform on stage and Malik encourages him by saying, ‘Dada, gaana toh banta hain!’
The episode will highlight the long-standing friendship, mutual respect and musical association between Kumar Sanu and Anu Malik. ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’ airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9.30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
