ZEE5 has unveiled its latest Bangla content slate, bringing together returning franchises, new original series, movies, AI-powered storytelling, animation, kids’ content and live sports.

According to a ZEE5 press release issued today, the new slate, launched under the theme ‘Notun Banglar, Notun Golpo’ (New Bengal. New Stories.), aims to showcase stories rooted in Bengal while exploring new formats and genres.

The platform announced the return of popular shows including ‘Lalbazaar 2’, featuring Anirban Bhattacharya and directed by Shayantan Ghoshal; ‘Shwetkali 2’, starring Oindrila Sen and Surangana Banerjee; ‘Shikarpur 2’, directed by Nirjhar and starring Ankush; and ‘Kaalipotka 2’, directed by Abhirup Ghosh and featuring Swastika, Shruti, Sheya and Himika.

The slate also includes ‘Mahaproloy’, starring Saswata Chatterjee and directed by Raj Chakraborty, which will serve as a sequel to ‘Abar Proloy 2’.

Among the new original titles are ‘Aloor Dosh’, ‘Taarkata’, ‘Prem Shots’, ‘Osthir’, ‘Priyo Bondhu’, ‘Bakhtiyar er Swarnamudra’, ‘Nari Choritro Bejay Jotil’ and ‘Nibba Nibbi’. The titles span genres including crime thrillers, romance, comedy and contemporary drama.

ZEE5 is also expanding its Bangla offering with AI-powered and animated content. The lineup includes ‘Garud – Ek Yodha Ki Gatha’, ‘Narmada Manasa Sundari’, ‘Vikram Betal’, ‘Shiv Sati – Ek Anant Prem Kahani’, ‘Param Sundari Chandrakanta’, ‘Tirupati Balaji’, ‘Ram Anjaney Yuddh’ and ‘Aiyappan’.

The platform will also offer kids’ content such as ‘Shivlok Ke Kundakka Mandakka’. On the sports front, ZEE5’s Bangla offering will include live coverage of FIFA, Bundesliga and Coppa Italia, expanding its sports portfolio for football fans in Bengal.

The platform has also announced new and continued collaborations with production houses including Acropolis Entertainment, Surinder Films, Why So Serious?, Anjan Dutta Productions, Eye Wash Entertainment, Raj Chakraborty Entertainment and Vikram Chatterjee Films.

The latest slate strengthens ZEE5’s focus on expanding its Bangla entertainment offering across fiction, sports, animation and other emerging storytelling formats.
