Tom Holland and Zendaya’s latest superhero film, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, has recorded a strong opening at the global box office, earning more than USD 900 million during its opening weekend.
According to a PTI report from Los Angeles today, the film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, was released in theatres on Friday. It marks Tom Holland’s return as Spider-Man, one of Marvel’s most popular superheroes, while Zendaya reprises her role as Michelle Jones-Watson.
Apart from Holland and Zendaya, the film features Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Krondon as Tombstone and Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, along with several other actors in supporting roles.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has collected USD 927 million at the worldwide box office in its opening weekend, crossing the USD 900 million milestone within days of its release.
The film’s impressive opening highlights the continued popularity of the Spider-Man franchise among moviegoers around the world. With such a strong start, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has emerged as one of the biggest box office releases in recent months.
