Netflix has released the first look of its upcoming dance comedy film, ‘Best of the Best’, starring ‘Never Have I Ever’ actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and Priyanka Kedia.
According to a PTI report from Mumbai, the film will premiere on the streaming platform on September 18.
Directed by Lena Khan, ‘Best of the Best’ is set in the world of Bollywood-fusion dance competitions at American colleges. The film follows two childhood friends, Maya and Anjali, who join UCLA’s Bollywood-fusion dance team with the dream of winning the US Championship.
Ramakrishnan plays Maya, while Kedia plays Anjali. As they work towards their goal, the two friends face tough competition, demanding dance rehearsals and personal challenges that put their friendship and determination to the test.
The film is written by Prashanth Venkataramanujam and comedian Hasan Minhaj. It promises a fun mix of dance, comedy, friendship and emotional moments, making it an inspiring coming-of-age story.
Netflix shared the first-look images of the film on July 28, giving fans a glimpse of the energetic dance performances and vibrant college setting ahead of its September 18 premiere.
