Actor Pankaj Tripathi will be honoured with the Artist of Distinction award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).According to a PTI report from New Delhi today, the award will recognise Tripathi’s outstanding contribution to Indian cinema and his journey as one of the country’s most respected actors.
This will be the first time the National Award winning actor attends the festival in Melbourne, Australia, to receive the honour. Known for his performances in films and series such as ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Newton’ and ‘Stree’, Tripathi has earned appreciation for his versatile acting and powerful screen presence.
Expressing his happiness about the recognition, Tripathi said receiving the Artist of Distinction honour is a special and meaningful moment for him. He added that stories have the power to connect people beyond language and geographical boundaries.The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne will celebrate Tripathi’s contribution to Indian cinema through this special recognition.
