The makers of Tom Cruise’s upcoming film ‘Digger’ have unveiled its official poster and trailer, giving audiences the first look at the Hollywood star in a powerful new role. Directed by Oscar winning filmmaker Alejandro G. Inarritu, the film is set to release in cinemas across India on October 2.
In the film, Cruise plays Digger Rockwell, a wealthy oil baron whose company is believed to have caused a major environmental disaster, the crisis created by the company could have devastating global consequences, including the possibility of triggering a nuclear war.
According to a PTI report, the trailer introduces Cruise’s character as a powerful businessman dealing with the fallout of the catastrophe. It hints at a story filled with tension, high stakes and difficult choices as the world faces the impact of the disaster.
‘Digger’ has been filmed entirely in VistaVision, a high-resolution filmmaking format known for delivering large-scale and visually rich cinematic experiences. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
