‘Wicked’ was a global success when it premiered in theaters in November 2024. And now, onbe can rent or buy the blockbuster musical film on prime Video.
The adaptation of the hit Broadway musical follows the first act of the theatrical production wherein Galinda, who eventually becomes Glinda the Good, recounts her time in Oz at Shiz University with her friend Elphaba, who would go on to become the Wicked Witch of the West.
The film features beloved songs from the musical, including ‘Popular’, ‘Dancing Through Life’, and ‘Defying Gravity’. ‘Wicked’ is directed by Jon M. Chu and was written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. It’s based on the stage musical of the same name by Holzman and Stephen Schwartz. It was also nominated for four Golden Globes and won the award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
The streamer said one can watch ‘Wicked’ on Prime Video, which is included with an Amazon Prime membership by purchasing or renting the movie in UHD, HD or SD. Rentals include 30 days to start watching this video and 48 hours to finish once started.
