Instagram, which is owned by Meta, is testing a new tool that will allow users to add songs to their photo carousels on the platform.
The tool is already available in a “few countries,” according to Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, with “more to come.”
Users can already tag songs to individual photos on Instagram, but now they will be able to add their favorite songs to the photo carousel as they swipe through the photo collection.
Zuckerberg also stated that Instagram is testing a new method for adding music to Notes.
Meanwhile, since Meta launched TikTok-rival short-video app Reels, AI recommendations have increased time spent on Instagram by more than 24 percent.
