Excel Entertainment has announced the appointment of Vishal Ramchandani as CEO.
Vishal, who has been with Excel since 2008, has been an integral part of the company’s success, serving as Business Head since 2018.
Vishal, who holds an MBA, began his career in film as a Marketing Professional at Excel Entertainment, the company announced on a LinkedIn post.
He has established himself as one of the industry’s most powerful marketing minds, having led award-winning marketing campaigns for films such as ‘Fukrey’, ‘Baar Baar Dekho’, ‘Gold’, and ‘Gully Boy’.
In 2013, he was tasked with leading Excel’s marketing division just five years after joining the company.
Vishal, as Business Head, was instrumental in transforming Excel Entertainment from a creative production house to a studio that self-funds, markets, and distributes its films.
Under his leadership, the company expanded into collaborating with diverse content, such as KGF, which became a nationwide hit.
His vision as Business Head accelerated Excel’s growth by expanding into new verticals such as leading a talent division, executing co-production deals, and facilitating new media ventures and Pan-India films.
Vishal’s business and marketing acumen, combined with strong industry relationships, have propelled him to the position of key Producer in the company.
Over the last decade, his efforts in developing Excel Entertainment’s brand have been critical to the company’s success. Vishal hopes to transform the company into a leading global creative studio with his appointment as CEO.
