ABP Majha conducts ‘Majha Vision 2020’

Mumbai, 28th November, 2020:India’s leading Marathi News Channel, ABP Majha organised ‘Majha Maharashtra Majha Vision’, a flagship show highlighting various views and discourses on the government, the ongoing political developments, and key public issuesyesterday, i.e. 27th November 2020.

From the Aarey metro car shed issue, the COVID-19 pandemic, and Sushant Singh Rajput’s case ─ the tussle between the MVA government and the opposition has only intensified over the past few months. Now, as theMahaVikasAghadi government marksits one year anniversary, ABP Majha organised Majha Vision to bring the pertinent dialogues of the state to the fore.

Various dignitaries from the ruling and opposition parties attended the conclave and deliberated on the pressing issues of the state.

Making the summit highly informative, Majha Visionhosted dignitaries such as Aditya Thackeray (Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment), Subhash Desai (Minister for Industries & Mining),Nitin Raut(Energy Minister), Rajesh Tope (Health Minister of Maharashtra), EknathShinde(Urban Development Minister), BalasahebThorat(Revenue Minister), ChhaganBhujbal(Cabinet Minister of Food and Civil Supply, Consumer Affairs), ChandrakantPatil(State BJP President),Narayan Rane(Former Chief Minister & BJP MP), Jayant Patil(Cabinet Minister of the Water Resources Department),Ashok Chavan (PWD Minister of Maharashtra),Varsha Gaikwad (School Education Minister),Hassan Mushrif(Rural Development Minister),andGulabraoPatil(Shiv Sena Leader and Maharashtra Minister).


Ensuring perfect coordination amongst the dignitaries, the summit was moderated by versatile anchorsof ABP Majha such as, Mr. Rajiv Khandekar, Mr. Abhijit Karande, Mr. Prassana Joshi, Ms. DnyanadaChavan, and Ms. Namrata Wagle.

Majha Vision is a platform, where ministers come face-to-face to deliberate on the eminent matters of the state and share their opinions on the ongoing issues. Ministers vested with responsibilities in their respective field get a chance to talk about their goals for the state and share a report card on the progress achieved in their respective ministry.

  1. “A committee has been set up under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chief Minister on Agriculture Act. We will discuss it and take a decision in favour of the farmers”, said the State’s Revenue Minister and Congress State President, BalasahebThorat.
  • “We have signed MoUs worth Rs 51,000 crore with 20-30 companies, out of which one lakh new jobs are being created. Data centers are being set up in Navi Mumbai, along with information technology industries. Food processing is starting in Aurangabad and pharmaceutical companies are being set up in Raigad. Industries are coming up in Hinjewadi, Chakan and Panvel in Pune, as well.”said Subhash Desai, Minister for Industries & Mining.
  • Speaking on the ongoing issue of COVID-19, Health Minister of Maharashtra,Rajesh Tope said, “The possibility of a second wave of corona cannot be ruled out.Everyone needs to be self-disciplined. We will ensure restrictions in some places if the cases rise but lockdown is not the answer at the moment.”

“Priority for vaccination will be given to front line doctors, health workers and police. After that, the vaccine will be given to people above 50 years of age,” he added.

  • On the education front, Varsha Gaikwad, School Education Minister said, “10th and 12th exams are usually held in February and March. While schools are open in certain areas, it is not possible to start schools in some places due to the current situation. In this regard, we are taking the guidance of education experts, and discussions are already underway with the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Efforts have begun towards the preparation of holding the exams in April-May.”

Speaking on the pollution of Dombivli, he said, “Dombivli is my favorite city. After independence, we started improving the roads of Dombivli and undertook other development works. We have taken up the issue of pollution in Dombivli and various other cities.”
