Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited concluded its broadcast of Baseball United’s inaugural season as the Mid East Falcons clinched the first-ever United Series championship with a commanding 8–1 victory over the Mumbai Cobras at the Baseball United Ballpark in Dubai.
The final marked the culmination of a month-long season that introduced professional baseball to Indian audiences on an unprecedented scale.
According to a press note, the championship finale was telecast live in both English and Hindi across Zee5, Zee Café SD, &Flix SD and &Pictures HD, ensuring wide access for viewers across the country.
On the field, Shotaro Kasahara delivered a standout performance, allowing just two hits in six scoreless innings while striking out six batters. Munenori Kawasaki was named the United Series MVP after scoring two RBIs and one run in the final, finishing the series with an impressive .417 batting average.
The partnership between Zee and Baseball United brought all 21 games of Season One to Indian screens across November and December, marking the first time professional baseball received such extensive, multi-region broadcast exposure in India. The tournament featured four founding franchises — the Arabia Wolves, Mid East Falcons, Karachi Monarchs and the Mumbai Cobras. After dropping the opening game of the finals, the Falcons bounced back to win the next two matches and seal the championship.

Zee’s coverage went beyond live matches, with Zee5 offering supplementary content such as player profiles, ballpark highlights, Baseball 101 educational clips, behind-the-scenes features and an original documentary chronicling the league’s development. The partnership was further amplified through four weeks of promotion across Zee’s linear and OTT platforms, reaching viewers nationwide.
With the Mid East Falcons crowned champions, Zee and Baseball United are now focused on expanding baseball’s footprint in India and supporting the growth of local talent as the league looks ahead to its next season.
