Zee Kannada, known for its constraining development in both fiction and non-fiction genres is all set to launch a brand-new show titled ‘Puttakkana Makkalu’, an inspirational tale.
The show stars the former minister and national award-winning actress Umashree.
She will be seen playing the lead role of the mother of three daughters – Puttakka and she will bring out the raw emotions of the character like no one else.
Based in Devipura in the Mandya district, the show follows the hardships of Puttakka after her husband abandons her for not giving birth to a male child.
The show also stars, Manju Bhashini, Ramesh Pandit, Karthik Mahesh, Hamsa Sarika Raj, Renuka, Guru Hegade, Sunanda Hospet and other budding actors like Sanjana, Akshara, Shilpa, Nisha, Dhanush as well as Santhosh and Gajendra of Comedy Kiladigalu in the pivotal roles.
‘Puttakkana Makkalu’ is directed by Aruru Jagadish and produced by JS Productions.
The show will premiere on December 13 on Zee Thirai at 7:30 PM.
