WION, India’s only international news channel, has launched a new show called ‘WORLD DNA’, in which viewers can watch the world’s top news condensed into a single program.
The show promises to keep viewers ahead of the global curve by providing comprehensive and contextual content that includes the most recent news from around the world.
WION will keep viewers informed on the news that will impact their present and set an agenda for the future as America wraps up its day and Asia awakens to a new dawn.
The show’s distinct conversational approach will be led by two anchors, Hem Kaur Saroya and Rohit Wellington, and will air Monday through Saturday at 7.30 a.m. IST (India, East & Southeast Asia) and 2 a.m. GMT.
‘WORLD DNA’ will air live from WION’s cutting-edge studio.
WION’s Chief Business Officer, Madhu Soman, emphasized the importance of the ‘WORLD DNA’ show, saying, “With World DNA, we want to dig a little deeper and help us and our audience understand what connects us, brings many together, and drives a few others apart.” The show’s twin-anchor format, with input from our bureaus around the world and sectoral updates, will not only capture what happened overnight in Europe and the United States but will also set the agenda.
“The changing market demand in terms of content consumption and revenue-generating opportunities have been assessed on a timely basis. This has helped our team to brainstorm, plan communication, and market our strategies for the U.S. and Indian markets as well. Through live news telecast and customized programming we look forward to achieving maximum stakeholders’ engagement,” said Anindya Khare, Marketing Head – ZMCL.
