Abundantia Entertainment and Prime Video announced yesterday the worldwide theatrical release date for ‘Neeyat’, their much-anticipated murder mystery.
The intriguing whodunit, starring Vidya Balan, will premiere in theaters on July 7, 2023.
Anu Menon, who last directed Vidya Balan in the 2020 superhit ‘Shakuntala Devi’, also helmed ‘Neeyat’. Menon’s recent directing credits include several episodes of the critically acclaimed series ‘Killing Eve’.
Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Amrita Puri, Shahana Goswami, Niki Walia, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, Danesh Razvi, Ishika Mehra, and Madhav Deval star in pivotal roles in ‘Neeyat’.
Menon, Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala and Girvani Dhyani wrote the screenplay for ‘Neeyat’, which has dialogues by Kausar Munir, PTI reported from Mumbai.
‘Neeyat’ is a gripping suspense story about an unlikely detective (Vidya Balan) who investigates mysterious murders at a billionaire’s party where nothing is what it seems and all suspects hide a secret or two. It is produced by Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment, which also produced ‘Shakuntala Devi’, and co-produced by Prime Video.
Balan’s return to theaters follows her successful stint on digital with three superhit films that debuted on Prime Video.
The producers released a teaser poster of the movie that gives the audiences their first sneak peek into the world of ‘Neeyat’.
