The highly anticipated drama thriller film ‘Akelli’, led by Nushrratt Bharuccha is all set to hit cinema halls on August 25, announced the film’s makers.
Set against the backdrop of Iraq, ‘Akelli’ chronicles the journey of a person discovering her own strengths in challenging circumstances, including being stranded in the unforgiving desert terrain.
The movie, directed by debutant filmmaker Pranay Meshram, was initially slated for release on August 18.
‘Akelli’ her survival echoes louder than the chaos around her. The tale of survival has a new date, 25th August!” shared Reliance Entertainment on the microblogging site X, PTI reported from Mumbai.
The film is co-produced by Dashami Studioz’ Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya, and Aparna Padgaonkar, along with Vicky Sidana and Shashant Shah.
Adding international flair to the project, Israeli actors Tsahi Halevi and Amir Boutrous, renowned for their roles in the acclaimed series ‘Fauda’, are making their debut in the Indian film industry through ‘Akelli’.
The release of ‘Akelli’ is eagerly awaited by audiences, as it promises a unique blend of gripping storytelling and Bharuccha’s acting prowess. With its compelling premise and talented cast, the film holds the promise of delivering an engaging cinematic experience.
