Telegram, the popular instant messaging app, has unveiled a suite of nine innovative features aimed at enhancing group communication. These updates, announced on Friday, bring a range of options to enrich the user experience within group chats.
Among the notable features is ‘Boosts for Groups,’ which allows groups to level up through member boosts or giveaways. Higher group levels unlock premium features such as voice-to-text transcription and custom emoji packs, providing users with a more dynamic group chat experience, IANS reported.
The introduction of ‘Group Stories’ empowers administrators to share stories within groups, sparking interactive discussions among members. This feature adds a new dimension to group dynamics, fostering engagement and community interaction.
“Group Emoji Packs” enable higher-level groups to choose custom emoji sets for members, contributing to more personalized and identity-driven communication.
For members of boosted groups, the ‘Voice-to-Text Transcription’ feature ensures seamless communication by offering unlimited transcription for voice and video messages exchanged within the group.
Telegram also announced ‘Special Permissions for Boosters,’ granting unique privileges to boosted group contributors, such as bypassing Slow Mode or other restrictions. Admins now have the ability to bestow these special permissions.
In addition, the company introduced ‘Telegram Premium,’ offering users exclusive boosts that can be allocated to any group or channel. Additional boosts are awarded for gifting Premium, providing users with enhanced communication options.
These updates mark Telegram’s commitment to continually improve and innovate in the realm of instant messaging, offering users a richer and more engaging group communication experience. Users can explore these new features and elevate their group interactions on the Telegram platform.
