Producer Dinesh Vijan has announced that director Amar Kaushik has completed the script for ‘Stree 3’, with the third instalment of the popular horror-comedy franchise scheduled to release in 2028.
The announcement comes as the Stree franchise continues to be a key part of Vijan’s horror-comedy universe. The universe began with ‘Stree’ (2018) and has since expanded with films including ‘Roohi’, ‘Bhediya’, ‘Munjya’, ‘Stree 2’ and ‘Thamma’, PTI reported.
Kaushik will not begin ‘Stree 3’ immediately. His next directorial project is ‘Mahavatar’, a mythological drama based on the story of Bhagwan Parshuram, starring Vicky Kaushal in the lead role.
Once ‘Mahavatar’ is completed, Kaushik is expected to move on to the third chapter of the Stree franchise, which is now officially targeted for 2028.
