Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has unveiled another round of leadership restructuring across its linear ad sales organisation, realigning responsibilities across clusters, regions and genres as it gears up for its next phase of growth.
The move, according to industry sources, is aimed at strengthening market presence, enhancing execution capabilities and building long-term leadership depth amid evolving industry dynamics.
The restructuring expands mandates for senior leaders and reorganises key portfolios to improve operational efficiency and regional reach, aligning with changing advertising landscapes and audience consumption patterns.
At the cluster level, Rohit Sinha will expand his mandate to include oversight of the Pay Movies & Infotainment cluster in addition to his existing responsibilities across the Sports Cluster, Channel YAY! and agency relationships. He will continue to report to Akshay Agrawal, Head – Linear Ad Sales.
In a significant shift, Vijay Chabria has been appointed National Head – Pay Movies & Infotainment, assuming national responsibility for the portfolio and reporting to Sinha. Supporting regional execution, Shashank Krishnan will lead the West market, while Sanchit Kapur will head the North as Regional Heads.
Amit Kumar Prasad will continue to lead the Pay Movies & Infotainment genre while also taking on additional responsibility for Channel YAY!, with all three reporting to Chabria.
The company has also broadened Anubhav Gogia’s role and he will now oversee the North, South and East branches along with Channel Aath as Cluster Head – SET & SAB (North, South & East), Aath and Government Business, reporting to Agrawal.
Within the Hindi GEC cluster, Ruchi Vidani, along with Pooja Khare and Ankur Shrivastava, will continue leading growth in the South, while Swati Gosain and Anant Nigam will drive North region operations, reporting to Gogia.
Mritunjay Singh has been appointed Cluster Head – SET & SAB (West) and Marathi, Upcountry and Travel & Tourism, expanding his earlier remit in the West. Under his leadership, Siddharth Jodha and Shraddha Mishra will head the West region for the Hindi GEC Cluster, while Prajyot Bhale and Saloni Mahajan will lead Channel Marathi in the West and North markets, respectively.
In the free-to-air segment, Vivek Mathur will continue as National Head – FTA, supported by Karishma Chabria (West), Nakul Anand (North) and Sanjeeva Kulkarni (South). Arpit Shah will continue leading Strategic Planning & Insights and Brand Solutions, while Geeta Prakash Rao will head Operations & Receivables Management.
