Sony YAY!, one of India’s leading kids’ entertainment channels, has unveiled a special Diwali programming line-up under its ‘Chhutti Ka Timetable’ campaign, promising laughter, fun, and fresh content for young audiences during the festive season.
According to a Sony YAY! press note, the celebration gets an extra dose of cheer with popular comedian Bharti Singh joining the line-up. Known for her signature humour, Singh will add a festive touch to the campaign, engaging families and ensuring that the channel’s Diwali offering appeals to both kids and parents alike.
The highlight of the line-up is Shin chan, the channel’s most popular toon, which continues to enjoy massive fan following with a 19 per cent slot share. This Diwali, the mischievous character returns with never-before-seen episodes and the television premiere of ‘Shin chan: Dinosaur Diary’. The holiday programming also promises a mix of fresh spin-offs and fan-favourite episodes, keeping children entertained throughout the break.
Adding to the excitement, anime fans are in for a treat with the first Indian television airing of new episodes of ‘Naruto Shippuden’ and the TV debut of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’, the hit film that narrates the emotional journey of Yuta Okkotsu while delivering high-octane action sequences. With this curated line-up, Sony YAY! aims to cater not only to kids but also to the growing community of anime enthusiasts in India.
Speaking on the festive line-up, Ambesh Tiwari, Business Head, Sony Kids, said: “Festivals are all about gifting joy, and this season Sony YAY! brings the perfect treat with Shin chan and our exciting new anime line-up. With first-time-ever episodes, exclusive movie premieres, and fan-favourite shows, we’re set to fill homes with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories this Diwali.”
With Shin chan, anime blockbusters, and Bharti Singh’s festive humour at the heart of its campaign, Sony YAY! has positioned itself as the ultimate destination for family entertainment this Diwali season.
