Rajat Makkar has been appointed as national sales head at Goldmines Bollywood and Goldmines Bhojpuri TV channels.
Makkar, who made the announcement about his new posting via a LinkedIn post, is a media sales professional with extensive experience in ad sales on television, radio and digital platforms.
Makkar was previously employed at Enter10 as VP and Cluster Head – North and East India.
He began his career as an account manager at Radio Mirchi before moving on to work as a senior executive at Sony Pictures Networks for a year before becoming a manager of ad sales at Zoom TV for two years.
Makkar was in charge of generating revenue, meeting yearly targets, and developing sales plans at Zoom TV.
Following his time at Zoom TV, he moved on to become the senior account group head at AETN18 Media, where he was instrumental in the launch of HISTORY TV18 as an English infotainment channel and developed personal sales plans for the channel.
Makkar also spent five months as VP at Pocket Aces, a digital entertainment company before joining Enter10 in 2018.
