Entrepreneur and co-founder of leap.club, Ragini Das, has joined Google as the Head of Google for Startups – India, marking a full-circle moment in her decade-long career in the startup ecosystem.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Das wrote, “Life has come full circle, and I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Google as Head of Google for Startups – India.”
Her journey in the startup world began in 2013 when she interviewed at both Google and Zomato. While Google didn’t work out at the time, she started her career at Zomato, where she spent six years helping scale Zomato Gold from scratch to two million users across India and several global markets.
In 2020, Das co-founded leap.club, a women-focused social-professional network that grew to over 25,000 paid members and generated more than $3 million in revenue. The platform became one of India’s most influential communities for women professionals, offering networking opportunities, curated events, and access to interest-based circles. Reflecting on the journey, Das shared, “If member love was an actual currency, leap.club would have been a unicorn. One day – we try again.”
Following leap.club’s pause in operations in June 2025, Das took a brief break from the startup world to focus on personal pursuits, including art, travel, and fitness. She said her return to the ecosystem felt serendipitous: “Sometime in August, I came across a role at Google that perfectly aligned with my journey. The role sat at the intersection of 0–10, founders, and everything I’ve built over the years.”
At Google for Startups – India, Das will now focus on supporting early-stage founders across the country by connecting them with the right people, products, and best practices to help scale their ventures.
