Acclaimed filmmaker R. Balki is all set to bring his latest masterpiece, ‘Ghoomer,’ to the silver screen on August 18.
The film stars the talented duo of Saiyami Kher and Abhishek Bachchan in leading roles.
‘Ghoomer‘ revolves around the triumphant journey of a paraplegic sports person portrayed by Kher, who defies all odds to emerge as a remarkable cricketer under the guidance of her dedicated coach, played by Bachchan junior.
The heartwarming narrative showcases the determination and resilience of the protagonist, who plays the role of a paraplegic bowler in the film.
Recently, Kher took to Twitter to unveil the poster of ‘Ghoomer,’ where she is seen holding a cricket ball in her left hand, with Abhishek Bachchan standing proudly by her side.
In her tweet, the actress shared, “Life, it’s not just about logic; it’s a game of magic. #GhoomerInCinemas on 18th August!”
The screenplay of ‘Ghoomer’ is co-written by R Balki, known for his masterpieces like ‘Cheeni Kum‘ and ‘Ki and Ka‘ along with the creative minds of Rahul Sengupta and Rishi Virmani.
Adding to the star-studded cast, the film features veteran actress Shabana Azmi and actor Angad Bedi in prominent roles, promising a power-packed cinematic experience.
‘Ghoomer’ has been selected as the opening film for the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, commencing on August 12.
