Prasar Bharati has invited open e-tenders for the supply of non-linear editing systems for the Doordarshan network, as part of its efforts to strengthen broadcast production and post-production infrastructure across the country. The tender, issued by the Directorate General of Doordarshan, covers the procurement of 46 non-linear editing system sets along with centralised licensing server hardware.
According to a Prasar Bharati notice dated December 16, 2025, the estimated value of the tender is Rs.7 crore, inclusive of applicable taxes. The procurement will follow a two-bid system comprising separate technical and financial bids, to be submitted digitally through Prasar Bharati’s e-procurement portal. The notice has been issued under NIT-27/2025-26 and is open to reputed Indian bidders and original equipment manufacturers.
The tender document specifies that the bids will be opened on January 19, 2026, at 1 pm. An earnest money deposit of Rs.21 lakh has been prescribed, while the delivery period for the equipment has been set at three months, in line with the relevant technical specifications issued by Doordarshan. Micro and small enterprises registered under MSME norms may avail exemptions from earnest money deposit, subject to submission of valid documentation.
Prasar Bharati has clarified that the complete tender documents, including detailed specifications, instructions to bidders, and amendments, if any, can be accessed and downloaded from its official e-procurement platform and related government procurement portals. Bidders are required to submit all documents in English and ensure compliance with digital signature and registration requirements.
The notice also outlines conditions related to performance security, bid processing fees, and eligibility norms, including adherence to public procurement policies such as ‘Make in India’ provisions and restrictions under the General Financial Rules. Prasar Bharati has reserved the right to accept or reject any or all bids without assigning reasons and to annul the tender process at any stage.
With this tender, Prasar Bharati aims to upgrade editing capabilities across the Doordarshan network, supporting improved production quality and operational efficiency for India’s public service broadcaster.
