The NDTV World Summit 2025 is set to take place in New Delhi today and tomorrow, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, business innovators, and cultural icons on a single platform.
This year’s summit promises an extraordinary exchange of ideas, with participation from two serving and two former Prime Ministers, underscoring India’s growing role in shaping global discourse.
According to an NDTV press release, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join Sri Lanka Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya , and former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott in a series of high-level dialogues.
Themed ‘Edge of the Unknown: Risk. Resolve. Renewal.’, the summit will explore how nations and individuals can navigate uncertain times with foresight, courage, and collective determination. Prime Minister Modi is slated to deliver the closing address of Day 1 (Oct. 17) in a session titled ‘Unstoppable Bharat: The Force of Now’, highlighting India’s trajectory in a rapidly changing global landscape.
The two-day summit will feature insights from global thought leaders, including Neil Thompson from MIT; Prof. Tarun Khanna from Harvard and Parag Khanna of AlphaGeo, alongside leading figures from business and innovation such as Gautam Singhania of Raymond; Anil Agarwal of Vedanta and Nitin Mittal, a global AI expert. The discussions will also address transformations in sport, with Ajit Agarkar, Chief Selector of the BCCI, exploring generational transitions in Indian cricket as a metaphor for broader societal change.
Cultural and creative voices will add depth to the dialogue with performances and talks by actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Ishaan Khatter, as well as ballerina and quantum physicist Merritt Moore. IndoGenius co-founder Nick Booker will draw on India’s civilizational knowledge to frame contemporary debates on artificial intelligence. Senior diplomatic envoys, including Lindy Cameron, British High Commissioner to India; Philip Green, Australian High Commissioner to India and Dr. Philipp Ackermann, German Ambassador to India, will also participate in shaping the discourse.
The summit aims to cover critical global themes — from shifting power dynamics and the digital revolution to climate action, mobility and social equity.
Positioned as a reflection of NDTV’s evolving vision, the World Summit 2025 underscores the network’s commitment to bringing global perspectives to India and showcasing India’s leadership to the world, fostering ideas and initiatives that will define the collective future.
