Meta yesterday announced the global launch of Meta One, introducing a multi-tiered subscription service that pools advanced generative AI features, enhanced customization tools, and business capabilities across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI.

The tech giant confirmed that core features across its app ecosystem and standard Meta AI functionality will remain free for all users.

The new offerings expand on single-product tiers like Instagram Plus ($3.99/mo), Facebook Plus ($3.99/mo), and WhatsApp Plus ($2.99/mo) by introducing cross-platform individual bundles — Core ($7.99/mo) and Premium ($19.99/mo).

These tiers give subscribers higher usage limits for compute-heavy generative AI tasks, including Muse model-powered video generation, image editing, and in-app tools like Instagram’s Restyle and voice effects, Meta yesterday said in a statement.

Meta revealed that the service has already logged 15 million subscriptions and trials to date, with early testing showing over half of bundled subscribers actively using both AI and expression tools.

“Subscriptions unlock more specialized capabilities and expanded AI usage that go beyond what a free experience built for billions can offer,” Meta stated in its announcement, highlighting plans to gradually roll out more than 50 launch features to additional surfaces, including AI glasses and Edits.

The tiered rollout is now live globally, though specific pricing, feature availability, and regional benefits may vary by market and account type.

Meta plans to expand the service further with upcoming offerings like Edits Plus, incorporating cloud project storage and an AI-driven insight assistant.
