According to a press release from Kuku TV, the award citation noted that as short-form storytelling becomes increasingly central to on-the-go lifestyles. The platform introduced premium micro-dramas to Indian audiences and recorded a multi-fold surge in downloads in 2025, ranking number one globally in growth within its category. The citation further stated that Kuku TV’s rapid ascent reflects the accelerating global adoption and popularity of short dramas.
The Sensor Tower APAC Awards are presented annually to recognise leading apps and publishers across the Asia-Pacific region, based on independent market intelligence and performance data.
