Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan yesterday said he feels lucky to have been part of romantic films like ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ and his upcoming release Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, which highlight important issues that women face in society.
‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ revolved around themes of consent, gender-based violence, and trauma and ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ also features a major conflict that the makers are not divulging just yet. Both the films are directed by Seer Vidwans, a PTI report from Mumbai stated yesterday.
“I feel lucky that I got this film (‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’), the way Karan (Shrikant Sharma, writer) wrote this story and character and the way Sameer sir took this vision ahead with his direction, was great. There are very few filmmakers who can convey a message in an entertaining and not preachy way in a romance film.
The Kartik, KJo Dostana: Meanwhile, according to another PTI report, filmmaker Karan Johar yesterday said he is pleased to have teamed up with Kartik Aaryan on ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, which turned out to be a great collaborative process.
Aaryan and Johar were supposed to work together on ‘Dostana 2’ but then stories of differences between them started to emerge. Johar later said his production banner would recast for the movie.
Now the two seem to have buried the hatchet with ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’. The film also stars Ananya Panday.
