A decade after its original release, Imtiaz Ali’s critically acclaimed film ‘Highway’ is making a much-anticipated comeback to the big screen on March 10.

Starring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, the film, which was first released in 2014, continues to hold a special place in Indian cinema for its soul-stirring narrative, breathtaking cinematography, and moving performances, PTI reported.

Produced by Window Seat Films and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the re-release aims to reintroduce audiences to the emotional journey of Veera (Alia Bhatt) and Mahabir (Randeep Hooda) as they navigate the complexities of freedom, trauma, and self-discovery.

‘Highway’ is more than just a film—it is an experience that explores the human spirit, personal liberation, and the beauty of India’s landscapes. Shot across six states, including Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Kashmir, the film’s stunning visuals and A.R. Rahman’s soulful music played a crucial role in its impact.

Speaking about the re-release, director Imtiaz Ali shared,“‘Highway’ was always meant to be a journey that stays with people long after they leave the theatre. Over the years, I have been overwhelmed by the love it has received. Bringing it back to the big screen is a way to reconnect with old fans and introduce a new generation to this story of freedom and self-exploration.”
