India’s leading Marathi GEC, Zee Marathi, is set to entice its audience with World Television Premiere of the super-hit Marathi drama ‘Hamlet’ on this Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 12 PM and repeat at 7 PM.
Announcing the premiere date of the show, Zee Marathi shared a small clip on Twitter handle, “See the experience of the actors who brought the world famous play ‘Hamlet’ to the Marathi screen. ‘Hamlet’ is Shakespeare’s most popular, and most puzzling, play. It follows the form of a “revenge tragedy”, in which the hero, Hamlet, seeks vengeance against his father’s murderer, his uncle Claudius, and the king of Denmark.
The show featuring Sumit Raghvan who will play the anguished prince Hamlet, Tushar Dalvi, and Mughda Godbole as the king and Queen of Denmark respectively, supported by Sunil Tavde, Manva Naik, and Bhushan Pradhan in the pivotal roles.
‘Hamlet’, which hit the theatres in 2018 in the Ravindra Natya Mandir, Dadar, is the first Marathi theatre drama which is a reimagined narrative of acclaimed director Chandrakant Kulkarni.
