GTPL Hathway Limited, India’s largest Digital Cable TV provider and a leading broadband operator, has announced the launch of its new Headend in the Sky (HITS) platform, GTPL Infinity, marking a major upgrade in digital broadcasting and satellite-based content distribution across the country.
According to the company’s announcement, the platform is powered by one of the world’s largest C-Band teleport setups, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Backed by this infrastructure, GTPL Infinity is designed to deliver nearly 800 channels, including around 100 HD channels, to partners and viewers across India with seamless reliability.
The company added that this initiative aligns with the government’s Digital Bharat vision by enabling robust, high-quality signal delivery even in remote areas.
The launch report states that GTPL Infinity uses multiple C-Band transponders on satellite Telkom-4, through a partnership with Asia’s leading satellite operator PT Telkomsat Satellite, Indonesia. By transitioning to this advanced delivery system, GTPL aims to reduce operational costs, expand reach, and create new monetization opportunities through content partnerships and regional market growth.
With GTPL Infinity, digital service providers—including LMOs, LCOs, MSOs, and commercial establishments—will be able to go live quickly using a single dish antenna and minimal infrastructure investment. The company said the new platform ensures high uptime, superior signal quality, and low maintenance requirements due to the use of advanced equipment.
The platform also allows GTPL and its partners to offer a wide suite of services beyond cable TV, including high-speed broadband, bundled OTT services, and cloud gaming, creating an integrated entertainment and connectivity ecosystem.
Highlighting the transformative potential of the platform, GTPL Hathway Managing Director Anirudhsinh Jadeja said, “GTPL Infinity represents a significant milestone in our journey to modernize and democratize content delivery across India. By leveraging one of the world’s largest C-Band teleport infrastructures, we are not only scaling our operational capabilities but also unlocking new efficiencies for our partners—enabling faster deployment, broader reach, and superior signal quality. This is not just a technological upgrade—it’s a national enabler for digital equity and growth.”
Vishal Mathur, Managing Partner of VMCLLP and authorized representative of PT Telkomsat in India, added that the collaboration will help expand television access across rural and semi-urban regions. “India’s broadcast landscape is undergoing a dynamic transformation, and our partnership with GTPL marks a pivotal step in expanding digital television access. GTPL is well-positioned to scale its HITS platform and deliver reliable, carrier-grade services nationwide,” he said.
With nationwide scalability, expansive content capacity, and a focus on bridging digital gaps, GTPL Infinity is set to emerge as a significant force in India’s broadcasting and connectivity landscape.
