Veteran journalist and author Dr Anil Singh has joined English daily Top Story as its Editor. He will lead the newspaper’s coverage of national and international affairs as the publication strengthens its editorial team.
According to a Top Story press release, Dr Singh will oversee coverage of national politics, Parliament, international affairs, public policy, governance, strategic affairs and major political and economic developments. He will also work on special reports, interviews, political analysis and other editorial content.
Dr Singh brings more than three decades of experience across television, print and digital journalism. He has held senior editorial positions at STAR News/ABP News, Aaj Tak/TV Today Network and News24. He served as Executive Editor at STAR News/ABP News from 2004 to 2013, Aaj Tak/TV Today Network from 2013 to 2015 and News24 from 2015 to 2020.
Along with his new role at Top Story, Dr Singh will continue as Editor of STAR Views, a US-based digital news network. He has more than two decades of experience covering Parliament, Indian politics and elections, along with national and international developments.
Dr Singh holds a Ph.D. in International Politics from the University of Delhi and has also authored books on Indian politics, national security, defence, media and international relations. His latest book, ‘The Prime Minister: Discourses in Indian Polity’, was published by Har-Anand in 2025. He will continue his editorial responsibilities at STAR Views while taking on his new role at Top Story.
