DocuBay, India’s premier streaming platform for premium non-fiction documentaries and part of the IN10 Media Network, has added another feather to its cap on the global stage.
The platform’s original film Operation Maa has clinched the Best Documentary Award at the Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) 2025, while another original, Fanatics, has been nominated in the Competition Category for Documentary & Experimental Features at the inaugural Waterfront Indie Film Festival (WIFF) 2025, the platform said in a press release.
Produced by Juggernaut Productions, Operation Maa delivers an emotional and powerful portrayal of the Indian Army’s rescue mission that goes beyond the call of duty to reunite a mother and her child amid conflict. Directed by Tanuj Bhatia, the documentary was lauded for its authentic storytelling, cinematic depth, and poignant emotional resonance that moved both audiences and juries alike.
Meanwhile, Fanatics delves into the psychology of obsession and identity in a hyperconnected world, exploring how belief systems and fandoms shape human behavior. Its nomination at WIFF 2025 underscores DocuBay’s growing international footprint and commitment to fostering thought-provoking, globally relevant non-fiction content.
“These recognitions reaffirm DocuBay’s vision to spotlight bold and meaningful stories that transcend borders,” said a spokesperson from IN10 Media Network. “We are proud to represent Indian documentary storytelling on the world stage with such compelling narratives.”
Both Operation Maa and Fanatics are now streaming exclusively on DocuBay, available to audiences in over 150 countries.
