CNN-News18 has announced a new programming line-up for news viewers. The channel said the new shows will focus on original reports, expert views, analysis and important conversations covering national, regional, global and health news.

According to a CNN-News18 press release from New Delhi today,the channel will bring different programmes during the day and evening. The daytime schedule will include ‘Raw Report’ with Shawan Sen at 12 PM, ‘Breaking Frontline’ with Shivani Gupta at 1 PM, ‘Simply South’ with Nabila Jamal and Harish Upadhya at 1:30 PM, ‘Newsroom Unfiltered’ with Griha Atul at 3 PM and ‘News Periscope 360° View’ with Ayushman Jamwal at 4 PM.

The evening line-up will include ‘The 5 PM Brief’ with Poonam Burde at 5 PM, ‘Plain Speak’ with Shivani Gupta at 5:55 PM, ‘Brass Tacks’ with Nabila Jamal at 6:55 PM, ‘The Right Stand’ with Anand Narasimhan at 7:55 PM, ‘The Hard Facts’ with Rahul Shivshankar at 8:55 PM, ‘Raw Report’ with Shawan Sen at 9:58 PM and ‘Vantage’ with Hem Kaur Saroya at 10:30 PM.

For weekends, CNN-News18 will air ‘The Global Radar’ with Griha Atul at 9:30 AM on Saturdays and 5:30 PM on Sundays. The show will cover major developments from around the world. ‘Health Matters’, hosted by Himani Chandna, will focus on healthcare and everyday wellness and will air at 12:30 PM on Saturdays and 1:30 PM on Sundays.

Rahul Shivshankar, Editorial Affairs Director, CNN-News18, said viewers want news that not only tells them what happened but also explains why it matters and how it affects their lives. He said the new line-up is focused on original, transparent and fact-based journalism.

Smriti Mehra, CEO English and Business News, Network18, said the new line-up brings together trusted voices and different formats, including original reporting, explainers, debates and detailed analysis. The programmes will be available on linear TV, connected TV and YouTube.
