The ultimate battleground of fear has found its fearless champion. Avinash Mishra has been crowned the winner of COLORS’ ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi, Season 15’, after a season packed with high-voltage stunts, intense challenges and unexpected turns. Rithvik Dhanjani and Orhan Awatramani (Orry) finished as the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The season, which returned after a highly anticipated two-year hiatus, emerged as a major success for the channel. According to a press release, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’, titled ‘Darr Ka Naya Daur’, delivered 2X the viewership of the previous season and emerged as one of the top non-fiction shows of 2026 in India. Hosted by action star Rohit Shetty, the show was shot across the challenging and scenic terrains of Cape Town.
This season introduced the high-voltage ‘Champions vs. Challengers’ format, bringing together franchise veterans and fresh contenders. From terrifying heavy-machinery stunts to the brutal ‘Pain Auction’, the show continued to raise the stakes, keeping viewers engaged throughout the season and turning ‘Darr Ka Naya Daur’ into a major pop-culture talking point.
Avinash Mishra’s journey stood out as one of the biggest transformations of the season. Starting out as a “newcomer” challenger, he gradually established himself as one of the strongest performers in the competition. His performances challenged the perception of him as merely a “good-looking TV actor” as he displayed strong mental resilience, confidence and precision across some of the toughest stunts.
During the high-pressure Team Week twist, Avinash was appointed Team Captain and successfully guided his rookie squad out of danger against a veteran-heavy team led by Rithvik Dhanjani. His performances across dizzying heights and heavy machinery tasks earned him praise, along with a signed custom Fear Jacket from Rohit Shetty.
One of the biggest turning points in his journey came during a technically demanding underwater stunt. Avinash outperformed seasoned competitor Karan Wahi in the task to become the season’s first Top 5 finalist. He carried that momentum into the Grand Finale, where he successfully completed the ultimate helicopter-to-water stunt to claim the coveted trophy.
With the victory, Avinash took home a Rs.20 lakh cash prize, an ORN Europe trip and a brand-new Maruti Suzuki Swift. Adding to the celebrations, all the contestants were awarded Hero Xtreme bikes.
Speaking about his victory, Avinash Mishra said that winning ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ was special because he had initially entered the show with a point to prove, but eventually ended up proving something to himself. He said the show gave him an opportunity to move beyond his established television image and let his actions speak for him.
Avinash also reflected on the mental challenge behind the stunts, saying that physical preparation was only one part of the journey. According to him, standing at the edge of something terrifying leaves no room for performance, and the real challenge is dealing with fear and making the decision to keep going.
For Avinash, the victory has become more than just a trophy. After years of being associated with television, his journey on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’ gave him an opportunity to test his physical and mental limits and discover a stronger belief in himself. As ‘Darr Ka Naya Daur’ comes to an end, Avinash Mishra leaves the show as its newest fearless champion.
