NYOOOZ, one of the few independent local city-specific news publishing platforms in India, has decided to offer free ad space equivalent to Rest. 25 lakhs (Rs. 25,00,000) to help all distressed and small businesses in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
This initiative is to help the small businesses, which have been financially impacted.
The free ad credits will help city based small businesses like restaurants, food trucks, caterers, salons, tutors, taxi operators, bakeries, boutiques, garment shops and grocery stores to reconnect with their city-specific customers, thus growing their business once again, a company statement from NYOOOZ stated.
This ad service can be availed for a minimum of 15 days without any hidden cost by small businesses in cities where the NYOOOZ is available. However, the ads will require conforming to the prescribed guidelines.
NYOOOZ’s Founder and CEO Alok Verma said, “The thought behind free ad credits is to help the business community from tier II and tier III cities, who have faced huge disruption in business, due to the COVID pandemic. The free ad credits will be our small contribution to the local business communities facing unprecedented losses. We hope it will help them in some way to emerge from the pandemic.”
Along with the free ad campaign, NYOOOZ has also launched a series on ordinary people, who have become Covid warriors, and how their work and lives have impacted their immediate surrounding society. The series would highlight their success stories.
The news stories will feature such unsung city COVID warriors from smaller towns.
Verma said that NYOOOZ has been in the forefront in carrying out its social responsibilities by organizing or participating in public awareness social campaigns. One such special initiative is associated with the ‘Save Your Skull’ campaign in Prayagraj city of Uttar Pradesh, which promotes wearing helmets and is being carried out in association with local traffic police.
Globally recognized independent digital news organization NYOOOZ is owned by Newzstreet Media Private Ltd, accredited with the Press Information Bureau, Government of India. It was one of the news organization, amongst 86 others globally, selected for the Google News Initiative grant. On crossing one million video subscribers, it received the coveted YouTube Golden Button in 2021 for its Hindi UP Channel. Its English channel has already received the YouTube Silver button.
