Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’ is all set to bring a wave of nostalgia for Bollywood fans as actress Karisma Kapoor recreates one of her most iconic dance moments on the show.
The upcoming premiere episode, themed around ‘India Wala Dance’, will feature Karisma sharing the stage with contestant Ruturaj Mahalim for a special performance on the evergreen hit song ‘Sona Kitna Sona Hai, Sone Jaisa Mera Mann’.
The episode promises to take viewers back to the golden era of the 90s, with Ruturaj’s performance reminding everyone of Karisma Kapoor’s memorable on-screen chemistry with actor Govinda. During the interaction, host Haarsh Limbachiyaa shared how Karisma’s presence instantly brought back memories of her popular films and songs. “Lekin Karisma ma’am, aapne kaha tha na aapko ise dekh ke Govinda Sir yaad aa gaye. Humein aapki aur Govinda Sir ki dono ki yaad aa gayi. Aapko dekhte hi woh saari filmein, woh saare gaane kaano mein bajne lagte hain,” he said during the show.
Wanting the audience to relive that iconic era, Haarsh requested Karisma Kapoor to dance to one of her classic tracks. Smiling warmly, the actress agreed with an enthusiastic “Okay,” leaving everyone excited. Soon after, Karisma and contestant Ruturaj lit up the stage with their energetic performance on ‘Sona Kitna Sona Hai’, recreating the charm, expressions, and signature moves that made the song a massive hit among audiences.
The performance turned into one of the standout moments of the episode, with judges, contestants, and the audience cheering throughout. The lively act not only celebrated Karisma Kapoor’s cinematic legacy but also added a nostalgic touch to the premiere episode of the dance reality show.
‘India’s Best Dancer Season 5’ will premiere on June 6 on Sony Entertainment Television and will also stream on Sony LIV.
