Pragya Sharma has joined Zee Music Company as Director of Growth and Business Development, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its presence across music, digital content, branded entertainment, and partnerships.
According to a LinkedIn post update shared by Sharma, she will be responsible for scaling the business across Zee Music Company’s diverse portfolio, including exclusive artist repertoires, music IPs, branded content, podcasts, sync licensing, and catalogue partnerships. In her new role, she will work closely with Sujal Parekh and Saurabh Shah.
Sharma joins the music label after spending nearly two years at Zomato, where she served as Associate Director. Her move marks a return to the entertainment and media ecosystem, where she has built extensive experience across content, partnerships, branded properties, and live entertainment businesses.
Before Zomato, Sharma worked at Insider.in as Head of Brand Partnerships, handling sponsorships and digital sales across live events, comedy, sports, and entertainment properties. She also spent more than a decade with Mirchi, where she rose to become National Product Head and AVP for IPs and celebrity shows.
During her tenure at Mirchi, Sharma played a significant role in launching and scaling several high-profile entertainment properties, including What Women Want and Dream Homes with Gauri Khan. Her experience spans content monetisation, celebrity-led formats, digital expansion, and strategic business development.
Earlier in her career, Sharma also worked with Sodexo, where she developed her foundation in business development and client partnerships.
Her appointment comes at a time when Zee Music Company continues to strengthen its focus on digital growth, branded collaborations, artist-led content, and monetisation opportunities across India’s rapidly evolving music and creator economy.
