‘Akhanda 2’ is set for its World Television Premiere as part of Zee Telugu’s ‘Summer Entertainment Bonanza’, bringing a high-voltage action spectacle to viewers’ homes this weekend. The film, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Harshaali Malhotra, will air on April 26 at 5.30 pm.
The special premiere is positioned as a key highlight in Zee Telugu’s summer programming line-up, aiming to offer audiences a blockbuster viewing experience amid rising temperatures and increased at-home consumption.
Set against the backdrop of a national crisis, the film revolves around a looming biowarfare attack during the Maha Kumbh Mela. As the threat escalates, the government assigns DRDO to develop an antidote. Scientist Janani manages a breakthrough but soon becomes a target for enemy forces. At a critical juncture, Akhanda returns, stepping in to protect her and prevent large-scale devastation. The narrative builds into an intense face-off, combining action with a larger theme of duty and protection.
The film also marks the return of the successful collaboration between Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu, a duo known for delivering mass entertainers like ‘Simha’, ‘Legend’, and ‘Akhanda’. Their latest outing continues in the same vein, blending larger-than-life storytelling with high-energy action.
Adding to the film’s appeal is the music by S. Thaman, whose background score amplifies the intensity and scale of the narrative, playing a crucial role in shaping the film’s dramatic impact.
With its mix of action, emotion, and spectacle, ‘Akhanda 2’ is expected to anchor Zee Telugu’s summer slate, offering viewers a cinematic experience on television screens.
