Amazon Music India has partnered with Ravichandran Ashwin to exclusively release his popular cricket podcast ‘Ash Ki Baat’ during the ongoing cricket season, strengthening its push into the podcast and audio entertainment space.
According to an Amazon release, the collaboration will bring the first 30 episodes of the podcast exclusively to the platform, giving fans access to in-depth match analysis, candid conversations, and behind-the-scenes insights from one of cricket’s most respected minds. The move is part of Amazon Music India’s broader strategy to expand beyond music and build a diverse audio content ecosystem.
‘Ash Ki Baat’, which already enjoys a strong following with over 400K subscribers on YouTube, has carved a niche for itself by blending sharp cricketing insights with a conversational and engaging tone. Through the podcast, Ashwin breaks down matches ball by ball, offering perspectives that go beyond standard commentary and connect deeply with fans.
The collaboration comes at a time when cricket conversations are at their peak, with audiences actively seeking expert opinions and post-match analysis. Despite retiring from international cricket in December 2024, Ashwin has remained closely connected to the game, using the platform to share his understanding of on-field strategies and player mindsets.
Speaking about the partnership, Ashwin said the idea behind ‘Ash Ki Baat’ has always been to bring fans closer to the sport through honest and insightful conversations. He added that working with Amazon Music India would help take these discussions to a wider audience, especially during the high-energy cricket season.
Rishabh Gupta, Country Head of Amazon Music India, noted that cricket remains deeply rooted in the country’s cultural fabric, and the platform aims to offer immersive audio experiences that resonate with fans. He emphasised that the collaboration aligns with the company’s vision of becoming a comprehensive audio entertainment destination.
With exclusive access and timely content, Amazon Music India is positioning itself as a go-to platform for cricket enthusiasts this season, offering fans a chance to stay connected with every key moment, insight, and story through ‘Ash Ki Baat’.
