Salman Khan is set to begin work on his next big-screen project, tentatively titled ‘SVC63’, with filming scheduled to commence from April 18 in Mumbai. The film, backed by noted producer Dil Raju, marks another major collaboration in the pan-India film space.
According to a UNI report, the project will be directed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, known for commercially successful films such as ‘Yevadu’, ‘Oopiri’, ‘Maharshi’ and ‘Varisu’. The first schedule of the film will begin at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon, where an elaborate set resembling a dense urban locality has been constructed for the shoot.
Salman Khan is expected to kick off the schedule with a high-octane action sequence, setting the tone for what is being positioned as a large-scale entertainer. The makers have planned an extensive three-month shooting schedule across Mumbai and multiple locations in India, with an aim to wrap up principal photography by August or September 2026.
While an official release date has not yet been announced, the film is reportedly being positioned for a theatrical release around Eid 2027, a window closely associated with Salman Khan’s major releases. The project will feature a strong ensemble cast, including Nayanthara as the female lead, along with Anil Kapoor and Arvind Swamy in key roles.
Interestingly, Salman Khan is set to begin shooting for ‘SVC63’ even before the release of his upcoming war drama ‘Maatrubhumi’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film, which was initially slated for release on April 17, has been indefinitely postponed due to the sensitivity of its subject matter.
Despite the delay, promotional material for ‘Maatrubhumi’, including songs and behind-the-scenes footage, has already been released, though it has received a relatively muted response so far. With ‘SVC63’, Salman Khan appears to be moving swiftly into his next project, aiming to deliver another large-scale cinematic outing for audiences.
