Raj Kundra is gearing up for the release of his next Punjabi film ‘The Great Punjab Robbery’, which has been locked for a worldwide theatrical release on August 7, 2026.
According to an IANS report, the actor-businessman unveiled a high-intensity motion poster of the film on April 2 through his social media, offering audiences a glimpse into what promises to be a gritty and action-driven narrative. The poster features Kundra in a fierce avatar, holding a rifle, hinting at a story rooted in courage, rebellion and destiny.
Described by the makers as more than just a heist drama, the film aims to deliver a cinematic experience that blends action with emotional depth. With the tagline emphasising chaos, courage and rebellion, the project is positioned as a high-scale Punjabi spectacle, a genre that has been steadily evolving with bigger budgets and ambitious storytelling.
The film features an ensemble cast including Payal Rajput, Garvita Sadhwani, Mahabir Bhullar, Paramveer Singh, Ankit Sagar, Amit Behl and Kulvir Sony, bringing together a mix of seasoned performers and fresh faces.
Kundra made his acting debut with ‘Mehar’ in 2025, where he starred alongside Geeta Basra and Savita Bhatti. The film revolved around a farmer’s journey of redemption and family reconciliation, marking his entry into the film industry.
He was also seen in the reality series ‘The Traitors’, hosted by Karan Johar, which is based on the Dutch format ‘De Verraders’. The show revolves around a strategic game of deception, where contestants are divided into ‘traitors’ and ‘innocents,’ adding a psychological twist to the competition.
With ‘The Great Punjab Robbery’, Kundra appears to be taking a step further into mainstream cinema, aiming to deliver a larger-than-life action film that could push the boundaries of Punjabi filmmaking.
