Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. has elevated Sujal Parekh to the role of senior management personnel while also announcing the resignation of senior executive Vikas Somani, according to a regulatory filing made by the company.
The development was disclosed in a filing dated March 31, 2026, submitted to the BSE and NSE under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The filing confirmed that Parekh, who currently serves as Business Head of Zee Music, has been elevated to a senior management role with immediate effect.
Parekh has been leading the company’s music business and will now take on a broader leadership mandate as part of Zee’s efforts to strengthen its growth trajectory in the music segment. With over two decades of experience in the media and entertainment industry, he brings a strong mix of operational and strategic expertise to the role.
Before joining Zee Music, Parekh held key leadership positions at Warner Music Group, where he served as General Manager and Director for India and SAARC. During his tenure, he played a critical role in expanding the company’s regional footprint, including leading acquisitions and integrations of platforms such as Divo TV, E-Positive, SkillBox and Global Music Junction, strengthening its presence across digital and regional content ecosystems.
In the same filing, the company also announced the resignation of Vikas Somani, who served as Head – Strategy, M&A, and Investor Relations. His resignation will be effective March 31, 2026. In his resignation letter, Somani cited his decision to pursue opportunities outside the organisation after what he described as an “enriching journey” with the company.
Somani acknowledged the leadership and experiences gained during his tenure, noting that his time at the company allowed him to contribute to its evolution through both growth phases and challenges.
The leadership update signals a recalibration within Zee’s senior management structure as the company continues to sharpen its focus on key business verticals, including music, amid a rapidly evolving media and entertainment landscape.
