The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has granted approval to M/s. IN10 Media Private Limited for changes in the names and logos of six of its non-news television channels, marking a significant branding shift across its network portfolio.
According to an MIB advisory, the approvals cover multiple channels under the company’s bouquet, with several being rebranded under the “Epic” umbrella. Filamchi Bhojpuri will now be known as Epic Bhojpuri, Gubbare has been renamed Epic Kids, ShowBox will transition to Epic Music, Ishara TV will become Epic Parivar, and Nazara will be rebranded as Epic Bharat. The flagship Epic TV, however, will continue with no change in name, while adopting the updated logo as submitted.
The Ministry has clarified that the newly proposed logos, as submitted in the respective applications, have been accepted. However, it has also placed a condition that the company will be required to immediately discontinue the use of any new logo if it is subsequently disallowed by the Trademark Authority of India.
The approvals come as a partial modification to several earlier permissions issued by the Ministry between 2014 and 2025. The MIB noted that while the name and logo changes have been permitted, all other terms and conditions outlined in the previous permissions will remain unchanged.
The move signals a strategic consolidation of IN10 Media’s channel branding, aligning multiple properties under a unified ‘Epic’ identity. Industry observers see this as an effort to strengthen brand recall and create a cohesive content ecosystem across genres including regional entertainment, kids programming, music, and general entertainment.
With these changes now approved, the network is expected to roll out the new identities across platforms, subject to regulatory and trademark compliances, in the coming months.
