ZEE5 is set to bring a new Malayalam original series titled ‘Kasaragod Embassy’, a crime thriller that explores a tense world of ambition, risk and shifting loyalties. The seven-episode series blends suspense with character-driven storytelling, offering viewers an intense narrative set against a gritty backdrop.
The trailer of the series has been launched by Mammootty’s production banner Mammootty Kampany. The show is directed by Atish M. Nair and produced by Legendary Movies.
The series features a strong ensemble cast that includes Abu Salim, Govind Pai, Rony David, Sudheesh, Kabir Duhan Singh, Deepak Parambol and Arjun among others. Together, they bring to life a layered narrative where personal ambition and moral dilemmas collide.
At the heart of ‘Kasaragod Embassy’ lies the story of two cousins whose pursuit of a better life pushes them into a dangerous world of forged identities, risky deals and fragile alliances. What begins as a desperate attempt to escape their circumstances gradually spirals into a complex web of events that threatens both their relationship and their survival. As the story unfolds, every decision carries consequences, drawing them deeper into a network of power and crime far beyond their control.
Director Atish M. Nair said the series was designed to create an atmosphere of constant tension and unpredictability. According to him, the characters are intentionally flawed and deeply human, which adds complexity to their choices and makes their journey more gripping for audiences.
