Nawazuddin Siddiqui has officially joined the cast of the much-awaited sequel ‘Tumbbad 2’, adding fresh intrigue to the film’s expanding narrative. The actor is expected to bring significant depth to the project, with early indications suggesting his role will play a central part in shaping the film’s folkloric and psychological arc.
According to an IANS report, while details about Siddiqui’s character remain under wraps, the role is believed to carry strong emotional and moral complexity, promising an intense addition to the sequel’s storytelling. The development has further heightened anticipation around the film, with production scheduled to begin soon.
Speaking about the project, Siddiqui said that the original ‘Tumbbad’ had always impressed him for its originality and atmospheric storytelling. He shared that he was drawn to the sequel’s vision after discussions with Sohum Shah. “When Sohum shared the vision for the sequel, I liked the story and I joined them in their journey. Collaborating with Sohum Shah and Pen Studios on a project of this scale is truly exciting. The character I’ll be portraying has many layers, and I’m looking forward to exploring this immersive universe with such a passionate team,” he said.
Producer-actor Sohum Shah described Siddiqui’s inclusion as an exciting development for the team, highlighting the actor’s ability to bring intensity and authenticity to his performances. He noted that Siddiqui’s character would play a crucial role in expanding the emotional and psychological landscape of the sequel and expressed confidence that his presence would add greater depth and impact to the narrative.

‘Tumbbad 2’ is being spearheaded by Sohum Shah under Sohum Shah Films in collaboration with Pen Studios.
