JioStar has appointed Anisha Mehta as senior director, ecosystem partnerships, strengthening its leadership team as the company sharpens its focus on alliance-led growth and strategic collaborations across its platforms.
According to a LinkedIn post, Mehta will be responsible for building strategic partnerships, deepening content ecosystems and driving collaboration-led initiatives, as JioStar looks to expand its reach and strengthen its position in India’s competitive digital media landscape.
Mehta joins JioStar from Pocket FM, where she led global partnerships, overseeing content acquisition and optimising the digital supply chain across international markets. During her tenure, she played a key role in expanding partnerships and strengthening the platform’s global content strategy.
Prior to that, she handled digital supply chain operations for subscription video-on-demand and miniTV at Amazon MGM Studios, managing content workflows and distribution processes. Earlier in her career, Mehta served as partnerships and monetisation lead at Xiaomi Technology, where she was instrumental in launching the company’s television business in India.
She has also held leadership roles at HolidayIQ, Deccan Herald and Bennett Coleman & Co Limited, gaining extensive experience across media, technology and digital businesses.
The appointment reflects JioStar’s growing emphasis on strengthening its partner ecosystem at a time when content distribution, device integration and platform collaboration are becoming key drivers of scale and differentiation in the rapidly evolving digital media market.
