Siti Network content and carriage GM Rajesh Sharma passed away on Monday, May 24 due to COVID-19 related complications. He was 42 and survived by his wife and two sons in Delhi.
He was suffering from the disease for the past one month in the hospital.
Siti Network CEO Anil Malhotra expressed his condolences saying, “He was a kind human being, always helpful. He was cooperative and everyone liked him in the organisation. Unfortunately, we have lost him at such a young age. He had a long career in front of him. ”
Recently, Rajesh was promoted to his current position last year during the pandemic.
The second wave of the coronavirus is claiming thousands of lives every day across the country. The lives of many cable operators have been cut short by the pandemic.
On Sunday, India reported 2.22 lakh new Covid-19 cases and 4,454 daily fatalities.
