Following the strong box office success of ‘Border 2’, actor Sunny Deol is preparing for his next theatrical release, ‘Gabru’, which is set to arrive in cinemas on May 8. The announcement was confirmed by Variety India, signalling another major outing for the veteran actor after his recent commercial triumph.
The film is directed by Shashank Udapurkar and produced by Vishal Rana and Om Chhangani. ‘Gabru’ presents Deol in an emotionally layered role centred on themes of resilience, identity and personal transformation, marking a departure from his typical action-driven performances.
Known for his commanding screen presence, the actor portrays a middle-aged family man who, shaped by unexpected circumstances, rediscovers his purpose and embraces life with renewed strength.
The role reflects a more introspective and character-driven narrative, offering audiences a different dimension of Deol’s acting range.
