NDTV will host the inaugural NDTV IND.AI Summit on February 18, 2026, in New Delhi, bringing together global technology leaders, policymakers, and innovators to examine the growing role of artificial intelligence in governance, business, and society.
Curated in partnership with Startup Policy Forum, the summit aims to position artificial intelligence at the centre of India’s economic priorities, policy frameworks, and strategic vision, while addressing global concerns around regulation, trust, and responsible deployment.
A key highlight of the summit will be a special session on AI in governance featuring former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who will offer insights into how artificial intelligence is transforming public administration, economic decision-making, and statecraft.
The event will also focus on global AI governance and safety, with prominent speakers including Chris Lehane of OpenAI, Stuart Russell of University of California, Berkeley, and James Manyika of Google. Their discussions will explore AI accountability, risk management, and international cooperation in shaping the technology’s future.
Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of NDTV, said the summit aims to bring together credible voices to define how AI can serve society responsibly, adding that India has the scale and capability to shape the direction of global AI development.
The summit will also explore the practical deployment of AI across industries. Investors and technology leaders, including Hemant Taneja of General Catalyst, will discuss how artificial intelligence is reshaping capital allocation, innovation strategies, and long-term value creation.
Sessions will examine AI adoption at scale, workplace transformation, digital public infrastructure, and the impact of automation on productivity and organisational culture. Organisers will also highlight India’s digital public systems as potential global models for inclusivity and trust.
A dedicated segment on AI sovereignty will analyse national autonomy in an interconnected technological ecosystem, assessing the roles of governments, academia, open-source communities, and private enterprises in managing AI responsibly.
Shweta Rajpal Kohli, President and CEO of the Startup Policy Forum, emphasised the importance of global dialogue in an era of rapid technological and geopolitical change, noting that the summit will bring together leading international and Indian voices shaping AI innovation.
The summit reflects India’s growing ambition to position artificial intelligence as a driver of national development, linking innovation with public purpose and global collaboration. Organisers say the discussions will examine how AI can influence power structures, economic opportunity, and social equity in the decades ahead.
As the conversations unfold in New Delhi, the NDTV IND.AI Summit is expected to reinforce India’s evolving role in shaping global discourse on emerging technologies and digital governance.
